Thai Motorcycle Tours is a family run business, owned and run by Miles and his wife Bpuk. We specialise in offering a full personal service to ensure our guests are 100% happy and the tours run smoothly. Miles' father Paul deals with the enquiries, bookings and the finances from the UK on the rare occasions we may be otherwise engaged out on tour. Being a small company means we are able to be flexible to our guests' needs and we are happy to discuss any specific requirements you may have - it also means that each tour is a unique experience!
That's me, and 'The Management'. She may be small, but quickly earned the title of 'The Little General', I'm the boss of course, because she says I can be! An absolute diamond in truth, nothing is too much trouble for this lady when it concerns your happiness. FACT, without being big-headed, we know we're the best in the game here, many have told us! There are more expensive tours where you pay purely to ride a Harley or BMW, and of course many cheaper where you're stuffed on a 200cc 150Kg 'mini-cruiser' that couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding, let alone handle these mountain passes! Never forget brakes are only matched to engine capacity too...
We stay in the same accommodation as the high-flyers, while using far superior rides AND accommodation to those 'budget' lads who come and go so readily. Always dependable, as in rarely lasting more than a season. Thai Motorcycle Tours have been fulfilling our guests' every need for some eight years now; we never settle for less, why should you? It's a matter of great pride for us we've never had a single complaint. I have nearly 20 years experience travelling in Thailand and have been happily living in this wonderful country for almost ten years now; very happily married for more than six of those to Bpuk. She is absolutely essential to these tours by organising matters quietly in the background. Knowing the many pitfalls that can befall the occasional traveller allows us to pre-empt and avoid them to provide you with a hassle-free holiday that you will be able to look back on with fond memories for many years to come.
Northern Thailand is a motorcycle paradise with endless, well paved, deserted, winding mountain roads, warm weather and great attractions (waterfalls, hot springs, ethnic hill tribe people, stunning viewpoints) every hour or so. Perfect to take in while stretching your legs for a while.
Making your evenings comfortable after a good day's riding is very important to us. It seems that there is always somewhere new opening up and we'll be in there checking it out for a night or two before a guest ever steps through the door. We pride ourselves on offering high quality, authentically Thai hotels and resorts, which include all mod cons (TV, aircon, etc) and are spotlessly clean, family run establishments so our guests can experience Thailand's true self and her wonderful people. Get to actually meet them, chat with them, not just have your drink plonked down in front of you by some huffy barmaid in an impersonal roadside Travelodge. When you wake up in the morning we want you to feel refreshed and relaxed, and looking forward to taking in more charms of Thailand.
We hear about many other tour operators from our guests, who've left them to fend for themselves after the day's activities are over? Considering their resposibility suspended until tomorrow. Not us, we truly are at your beck & call 24/7! It is our absolute pleasure to provide unparrallelled levels of service, and a matter of great personal pride Our guestbook provides written testimony.
You're never too far from civilisation; 150 kilometres between major towns, fuel every 50 kilometres or so and accommodation about the same. Eating seems to be the Thai national pastime and there's fabulous food just about everywhere you look! The major towns all include many of the comforts of home - Tescos, Boots the Chemist and 7/11s abound.

All riders are welcome, from the novice biker up to the old hand. We never tire of these guided tours, no matter how often we do them there always seems to be something new to experience. The touring is relatively easy but still exhilarating, riding on the left-hand side of the road as in the UK and Australia. Add to that a warm tropical climate and totally new experiences almost every moment of the day with people who know what they're doing in such situations and it all adds up to a combination that is quite simply unavailable elsewhere; the perfect two-wheeled holiday!

Available as a free upgrade (conditions apply) for the 2010/11 season are the excellent, brand-spanking-new Kawasaki ER6N's. These bikes are lightweight, comfortable and powerful, and deal with the road conditions perfectly. We still offer the Honda CB 400's/750's (free for those with pillion) if you prefer. Experience has taught us you really don't want or need anything larger than these. They are light, tractable and manoeuvrable, and perfect for these roads. Harley Davisdon style bikes may be great on the unending straights of the American Interstates, but they are totally unsuited to the twisty, exciting roads of Northern Thailand.
If required, additional adventure activities can include: bungee jumping, all terrain vehicle riding in the jungle, special much larger all terrain vehicles through the jungle, mountain biking in the jungle, white water rafting, bamboo river rafting, kayaking, paint-balling, a visit to the shooting range, micro-lighting, elephant riding, massage & spa experience, hiking in the jungle, golf, fishing, Muai-Thai (Thai boxing), Thai cookery courses and Thai massage courses.
