What a relief - to be able to ride on dry roads in warm/hot weather instead of being frozen and salted to near death.

Just returned from the Mae Hong Son Loop and have the T-shirt (several in fact) to prove it. Great roads, great views and some fantastic places to visit. The accommodation was all good and some of it deserved more than one night's stay to fully appreciate it.

Miles and Bpuk go the extra mile (literally) to make sure all the riders are well looked after and their seemingly never ending enthusiasm must result from a very real enjoyment of what they do.

If you are looking for a bike trip which is more about experiencing different cultures (and food) together with some great riding, but without ball busting distances to cover each day, you won't go wrong with Thai Motorcycle Tours.

You could even combine a week's riding with a week on the beach - what could be better in February!

PS don't miss the bikers bar complete with live rock band...every town should have one!

It is often said that going back a second time to something that you enjoyed previously is never quite as good. Well, having just returned from my second trip with Miles and Bpuk, I can confirm that this is correct - it was not as good, it was even better.
From the minute I arrived I was welcomed like a long lost friend by all the smiling faces in Chiang Mai Gate Hotel. Miles and Bpuk were once again the perfect hosts - nothing is ever too much trouble for them and Bpuk is looking even lovelier than she did last year. Same can?t be said for Miles unfortunately!
Riding the Mae Hong Son Loop is a very different experience to the Golden Triangle Loop - certainly more technical, especially the first couple of days. Still, being a crap rider like me I get lots more corners for my money - three apexes just have to be better than one! I can?t decide which trip I prefer - maybe just have to do both of them again to help me make up my mind!
To be serious for a minute. If you want to "Venture a little further" then there is no better way to do it than with Thai Motorcycle Tours - great roads, great food, great company (fellow guests who become friends) and the sun shines virtually every day. The only problem I can think of is the fact that, like me, you just may become addicted - I am starting to look forward to my next visit already.
Thanks Miles and Bpuk for another wonderful experience.

Just returned from the GT Tour... Fantastic!!
Great bikes (ER6n's very flexible), biking, very varied terrain and paced to suit all, fast where appropriate and much slower through built up/busy areas-ours was PDQ ;-)
Wonderful sites/views and amazing food. I already loved Thai food but hadn't tasted anything this good before...
I recommend the local Chang or LEO beer-nice and smooth drinking but go easy-Chang is 6+% Abv!!
Bpuk and Miles have carefully selected the routes/sites/hotels etc.to get the best possible experience from the tour-the research that has gone into this will be obvious to anyone who takes a tour.
The personal service element of this tour is what really makes it sooo good....
Personal circumstances permitting, I'm intending to return for the MHS loop tour at the beginning of March.
What more can I say?? A recommendation indeed!!!

I had a fantastic week on the GT tour. Miles and Bpuk are great host's and really go the extra mile to make sure your looked after.
The view's/ sights/ and experiences you see and do on organised trips like this will stay with you for a long long time. As for the food, its gorgeous, I have only been back home a few days and im missing it so much!!
Im starting to save up now for another trip with TMT next year.
So Bpuk & Miles, Thanks very much for a fantastic week, and see you next year on a different route.
Paul..

Just returned home from a great GT loop tour.
had a wonderful time, can't recommend this tour enough!
Miles and Bpuk go out of their way to ensure that all have the experience of their lives; pace perfect, in fact everything perfect. What else can I say?!
Will be back!!

Have just come home after doing the Mai Hong Son loop. Fabulous! I had a terrific time - loved the riding, the food and the whole experience. Miles and Bpuk should be proud of the operation which they've built up - the commitment to customer service was very much appreciated. Our group became friends over the course of the week and the experience proved that motorcyclists share a special secret. I will definitely be returning - next time with a bunch of my riding mates from here in Adelaide.

March 09 - Tour B From the moment they met us at the airport to the moment they dropped us off for our return flight to the States, providing a thrilling, once-in-a-lifetime adventure was top priority for our warm, gracious and charming hosts Miles and Bpuk. From the routes to the restaurants, from the spelunking to the snake charmers, Thai Motorcycle Tours goes way above the call of duty to ensure their guests see Thailand as only those with an insider's knowledge and contacts can. Well done! (Yes, still have smile on face!)
By Sarah Ingram at Friday 24 April 2009
Well slap my thigh, I had a brilliant time!

I went pillion with my bud for both trips and also added a cheeky little third week on our own down south for afters to give my bum a holiday!

The great thing about the mighty Bpuk and Milo is they're more like traveling companions than tour leaders, and bend over backwards to make sure we had the greatest time and got to see the best of Thailand in the short time we had.

You can make the holiday as relaxed or as mental as you like and also be prepared to gain a few pounds from all the yummy food!

So what are you still reading this for? You definitely look like you need a holiday, So GO AND BOOK YOUR TRIP NOW!!!!

:) XX

Finished Tour B April 10. After reading comments by other people, I really can't do more than endorse all the positives. I have been a member of the Ulysses Club for 25 years, and will do what I can to encourage other motorcyclists to enjoy the experience. Going back to do Tour A is most certainly high up on my "Bucket List" Thank you Miles & Bpuk for the memories. Rosco, Horsham, Victoria, Australia

Have just returned from doing both tours and what an experience. Everything you read from previous participants is true. Sal and I had never done a group tour before preferring to "do-it-yourself" but glad that we saw Thailand on an organised tour. We didn't have to worry about a thing except pointing the bike in the right direction, Miles and Bpuk looked after us totally and nothing was ever too much trouble. I loved the fact it wasn't just ride, ride ride but plenty of stops to take in some of the culture or simply a coffee break. Thanks to a great bunch of people for making it such a memorable trip - only one disappointment - returning back to the UK!!!!!
By Don Henderson at Saturday 21 February 2009
Just returned from doing The Golden Triangle Tour and the grin is still as wide as ever.
Like many others who have done a fair bit of touring and perhaps sampled the wide straight roads of the U.S. of A it was with some trepidation that I set off from snowy Scotland to make my way into the unknown. Would I be a good enough rider to cope with the very different road conditions; would I be okay with the food; would I like the people running the tour - and, in fact, did Thai Motorcycle Tours really exist or was it just one big con!
I really need not have worried about any of it - Miles pushes you enough to make the riding interesting but in no way overly-concerning: the lovely Bpuk orders up food for you that is fit for a King (her wonderful smile also makes you feel like a King) and the scenery and accommodation are both out of this world.
If you are thinking about doing something just a little bit different then don't think, just do it - you will love every minute of it and, like me, arrive as a guest but leave as a friend.
Will I return - what do you think! I am saving up already.
By Ian at Friday 20 February 2009
One word was used again and again, 'wonderful!

Want to see Thailand? Just get on a bike and follow Miles. Want to taste Thailand? Give Bpuk the menu and let her order. These people will do all they can to make your holiday a great experience.

In between all the fun were some of the best riding roads - just go and find out for yourself.
By Tom at Tuesday 17 February 2009
What a great time I had! It seemed like every day was better than the day before. The roads, the food, the attractions, the hotels were all fantastic. Bpuk and her brother were so attentive and helpful. Miles did a great job of leading the way. This is a great tour for couples or those interested in exploring the culture as well as the roads of Thailand since daily mileage never exceeded 200 km and the sites were really quite memorable. My favorite was the elephant ride/swim. Those animals are truly amazing.
The Honda CB 400 was a great bike on the tight and twisty road of the Mae Hong Son loop. I can't imagine how this could have been a better trip. Thanks very much Miles to you and your beautiful wife.
By Brad & Tina at Monday 16 February 2009
What can I say? We did the Mae hong son Loop I've never had so much fun on a tour! Had my good lady as pillion, Miles kept me on my toes with some brisk riding but we had plenty of breaks, never really did more than 2 hours in the saddle which was grate. All the hotels we stayed in were grate, the best for me was the fern lodge truly stunning. I think we went at a good time of year; 1st week of Feb, some of the mornings were a little chilly but by 10am things were warming up and we needed to take off our fleeces. Food was out of this world we both like it hot & spiecey and with Bpuk's help we never had a bad meal. Once again thanks Miles Bpuk & Boy, hope to see you next year!
By Andy Connelly at Thursday 08 January 2009
I've been biking and touring on bikes for 50? years, always alone or with a mate, never with a group; so it was with some trepidation I booked the two week tour in 2007. I went again in 2008 and expect to go again this year. It really is that good.
Thanks Miles, and to Bpuk my undieing love.

Our first motorcycle tour and what a tour! Organisation and personal service by Miles and Bpuk - second to none.

Great roads, spectacular views, superb activities all in all an amazing country. Accomadation and food were very good also.

We returned in November to do the second lap after doing tour A last year. Sometimes things are'nt as good as you remember them. Not in this case, we had a brilliant time again. Just the right mixture of riding and activities. Miles and Bpuk have got it dead right. Fantastic Scenery, Roads, Food and company. Dont just think about it , get on yer bike.

We have just returned from our very first motocycle tour and what an experience it was. Miles and Bpuk were fantastic, we couldn't have asked for better hosts. If you are thinking of going on tour and want something more exciting than Harleys on interstates this is the tour for you. Great roads, plenty to see, good food, it has it all. we really didn't want to come home.

Thanks for our best holiday in years.

If anyone out there is thinking about doing this, all I can suggest is don't think, just do it! You'll enjoy some of the best roads and scenery in the world and have a holiday of a lifetime.

Visitor Comments: Hi Miles,

what can i say about the holiday, I have been travelling since 1960 and have been to many countries, done many things(some will still remain a secret) had some very good times, some bad, but this holiday ticked all the right boxes that made it the most memorable and wonderful experiences in all those years that i have had( I know I should try and get out more )and it would certainly take some beating.
I believe the success was down to many factors, but hand on heart i truly believe the winning formula was Bput.
A truly wonderful lady who put everybody before herself, put all the group at ease and organised so very much, and all with a fantastic smile.
You Miles are an extremely lucky man to have someone so special as a business partner (I cannot speak for your personal life I can only imagine the same) so treasure her.

I hope that you are both keeping well
Have a great christmas and a wonderful new year.

Kind regards
Keith (Fossie)

Just wanted to convey our thanks for a fantastic adventure and holiday. We packed so much into the trip we are still struggling to remember it all!

The, possibly, unique set up you have there allowed us to experience and see so much more of the country, people and culture than would have been possible through any other means. This made the trip so valuable and enjoyable for us.

Dave and Miles are both top quality guys, and their wives Bpuk and Mem where an inspiration to us. There seemed to be nothing that was too much trouble.

If you want transfer from one four star hotel to another via modern bike then this is not the tour for you. However, if you want a little adventure and some great experiences I recommend this tour without any doubt.

We wish you every success in growing the business and hope you continue to provide many others with the same experience we had.

Howdy Miles et al:

Damn, I'm not the first. Well #2 is the first of all the rest.

For those who know about Deal's Gap in the USA, there is about a 45 km stretch on the Mae Hong Son loop that makes The Dragon almost seem straight.

Great roads, great countryside, great people (the Thais AND Miles et al).

Wishing you folks the best of the season.
